About The Palikū Academy of Performing ArtsPlease click here for a description of our courses.
Our Mission To ensure a safe and productive environment where youth can find and cultivate their love of performing arts and learn respect for themselves and others.
|
| | | Our Vision We want the students to enjoy the theatre experience and understand the whole production process. Our main goal is not to create great performers. We want students to explore their talents and teach them lessons they can apply to the stage and to life. Students will also learn self-confidence, responsibility, teamwork, leadership skills and the fun that theatre can bring into their lives. | Our Goals for Summer 2010 With this being the fourth year for the program, our goals continue to be: do a great job and have fun doing it! We would like students to walk away with a positive and memorable experience, new friendships and a sense of respect for performing arts, both on-stage and behind-the-scenes. For students returning this summer, we'd like them to continue to build on the skills they developed in previous years. |

| | | Meeting Department of Education Benchmarks Students will not only have a fun experience this summer, they will also be positive Community Contributors, responsible Self-Directed Learners, be Quality Producers in their performances and rehearsals and become Effective Communicators. Participants will also be called upon to be Complex Thinkers and will be taught how to be Effective and Ethical Users of Technology. As a “hands-on” program, students will learn skills that will help them all year round! | |
